Ring-necked Pheasant

Ring-necked pheasants are large game birds with a long, pointed tail. Their name describes the colorful male which has a white ring around the base of its neck. The female, in contrast, is drab and noticeably smaller.

They are found in inland areas such as open fields, farmlands, and edges of forests.
