Bonaparte's gull is a small gull with a thin black bill, narrow wings, and red legs. Breeding adults have a solid black hood contrasting white arcs around the eyes.
Bonaparte's gulls are found near coastal areas of the U.S., as well as on the Great Lakes and in Alaska and Canada.
