The ring-billed gull is a white-headed gull. As its name suggests, it has a distinctive black ring around the tip of its bill. In adults, the bill, legs and feet are yellow whereas in juveniles, they are pink and the bill ring is incomplete.
Ring-billed gulls are the most common gulls. They are common and widespread throughout temperate areas of the U.S., including urban habitats.
