Black-chinned Hummingbird

The black-chinned hummingbird is a slender hummingbird with a thin neck and small head. As its name suggests, it has a black chin. The adult male also has a purple band at the bottom of its throat.

Black-chinned hummingbirds are common in lowlands and low mountains in the Western U.S.
