Black-billed Magpie

Black-billed magpies are relatively large jay-like birds with a black head contrasting a white belly and white scapulars on the wings. They have a very long, iridescent blue-green tail.

With the exception of its black bill (as its name suggests), its appearance is very similar to the yellow-billed magpie.

Black-billed magpies are common in open wooded areas of the northwestern U.S.
