Curve-billed Thrasher

Curve-billed thrashers are relatively large, heavy thrashers with a brownish-gray body and yellow iris. Adults and juveniles look similar.

As their name indicates, they have a thick, curved bill. However, it is not the only thrasher with a curved bill, or even the most curved. For example, compare to the Crissal thrasher.

Curve-billed thrashers are common in semiarid brushlands in the southwestern U.S.
