American White Pelican

American white pelicans are large waterbirds. They have predominantly white plumage except for black primaries and outer secondaries on their wings, and very large yellow-orange or pinkish bills. Breeding adults have a distinctive protrusion on their upper mandible.

They are found along the coast of southern U.S. and Mexico, as well as on inland lakes or rivers in the western U.S. and Canada.
