American White Pelican

American white pelicans are large waterbirds. Their bodies are almost entirely white except for black primaries and outer secondaries on their wings.

They have very large yellow-orange or pinkish bills and throat pouches that are used to scoop fish out of the water.

They can be found in both coastal and inland lake or river areas.
