Double Crested Cormorant

Double-crested cormorants are dark birds with a long, hooked bill. Juveniles have orange bills which become paler in the adult, but retain a yellow-orange throat pouch.

These birds are common and widespread near coasts, inland lakes, and rivers. Surprisingly, they seem comfortable not only in water, but also on trees.
