Dunlin

Dunlins are relatively large sandpipers with a long, slightly downcurved bill. Breeding adults have a rusty back and a black belly patch, while nonbreeding adults have grayish brown upper parts and a white belly.

Dunlins are found on beaches and mudflats along the coasts of North America during the winter, and in the arctic during the summer.
