Greater Yellowlegs

Greater yellowlegs is a slender shorebird. As its name suggests, it has strikingly yellow legs.

This bird is very similar in appearance to the lesser yellowlegs. The prefix of "greater" indicates that its bill is longer than its head. View comparison.

It is found in shallow wetland habitats.
