Western Sandpiper

Western sandpipers are small shorebirds with a relatively long bill, gray upperparts and white underparts. During breeding, some rufous feathers appear on the head and wings, and the breast becomes spotted.

Despite their name, western sandpipers are found along both the eastern and western coasts of the U.S. and Mexico.
