Willet

Willets are a somewhat stocky shorebird. When they are on the ground, they appear to be mostly white and gray, but in flight, the undersides of their wings show a distinctive black and white pattern.

They are common in wetlands and coastal beaches of the U.S. and Baja Mexico.
