Ring-necked Duck

Ring-necked ducks are diving ducks with dark backs, peaked heads, and a white ring near the tip of the bill. Their name describes a cinnamon collar that usually is only seen upon close examination.

Ring-necked ducks are found in small ponds, often in wooded habitats.
