Hi! I am an aspiring bird and nature photographer. Two Birds Photography is my personal website that I use to showcase my photography and provide general birding information.
I believe that photography is more than just a visual medium of expression, and I strive to capture images that portray more than what meets the eye. I do very little digital image processing of my photos.
My photography equipment is evolving. I recently upgraded to the 10MP Canon 40D camera. My lenses are all Canon f/2.8 IS and include 17-55mm, 70-200mm, and 300mm, as well as a 2X extender. Most of the photos on this site were captured with the 10MP Canon Rebel XTi, and some were taken with my older cameras, including a 6MP Canon Powershot A540 and a 5MP Sony DSC-H1.
For birding, I use 8 x 40 binoculars and an 80mm Swarovski spotting scope. Occasionally, I do digiscoping (digital photography using a spotting scope as a super-telephoto lens).
I have lived and traveled throughout Europe, Asia, and the Western U.S. Currently, I reside in Salt Lake City, Utah.
